NanoCelic Signs Tech Transfer Deal with UNEXA Korea, Accelerating Commercialization of 3D Bioprinting
■ Core ‘Cell Realization & Drug Delivery’ technology to be applied to functional food formulation ■ Proving the industrial scalability of global biotech; Establishing a next-generation healthcare partnership
NanoCelic, a pioneer in 3D bioprinting-based regenerative medicine, is expanding its core technology into the functional food sector, marking a significant step toward full-scale commercialization.

NanoCelic announced that it has signed a Technology Transfer (L/O) agreement with UNEXA Korea, a specialist in healthcare solutions, regarding its core patented technologies. This agreement is expected to be a major milestone where advanced biotechnology is applied to the functional delivery systems of consumer goods, specifically in the health supplement market.
Redefining the Paradigm of Nutrient Absorption and Delivery
NanoCelic holds proprietary technology for creating cell environments similar to human tissues using 3D bioprinting, which allows for the design of optimized drug delivery pathways. The technology being transferred to UNEXA Korea involves R&D assets related to “Active Carrier Design using 3D Bioprinting Technology.”
When integrated into functional foods, this technology enables the development of “Smart Formulations”—moving beyond simple ingestion to ensuring that active ingredients are metabolized with high precision within the body. In particular, NanoCelic’s bio-ink technology is expected to play a critical role in enhancing the stability of ingredients and maximizing their bioavailability.
“Bringing Technology to Daily Life”: Diversifying Business Portfolios
To date, NanoCelic has focused on high-complexity medical fields such as patient-specific tissue reconstruction and complex cell realization. The collaboration with UNEXA Korea is significant as it proves the versatility of these advanced technologies by expanding them into the mainstream healthcare sector.
“Our 3D bioprinting technology has applications far beyond the clinical setting; it can improve the quality of human life in various ways,” said a representative from NanoCelic. “By combining our technology with UNEXA Korea’s distribution infrastructure, we will provide consumers with next-generation management solutions grounded in clear scientific evidence.”
Starting with this technology transfer, NanoCelic plans to maintain a close R&D partnership with UNEXA Korea, supporting additional research to optimize customized formulations and secure functional data using its proprietary bio-ink.
